About the Author
The author is a lecturer, researcher, legal consultant, an Arbitrator and Notary Public. He holds LL.B (Hons) in Law with Second Class Upper Division from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State and B.L. with Second Class Upper Division from the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Bar in 2009. He equally holds LL.M (Common Law) and a doctoral degree Candidate at the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. He practiced briefly with Yemi-Akinseye-George & Co. (now Professor Yemi Akinseye-George SAN & Partners) as an Associate Counsel before setting up his own legal consultancy firm; Benakol Consulting, dedicated to advocacy, academic research and consultancy. He has published articles in reputable Journals on legal issues and delivered papers at national and international Conferences. He is the editor of essays titled Electoral Law Reforms and Constitutionalism in Nigeria in honour of Honourable Justice James Ogenyi Ogebe JSC (rtd), CON; Co-editor, Contemporary Issues on Labour Law, Employment and National Industrial Court Practice and Procedures (In honour of Honourable Justice B.A. Adejumo, OFR). He also authored the book titled: Practical Approach to Civil and Criminal Litigation. He has experience as a tutor, an adjunct Assessor and external Examiner with the Nigerian Law School, Abuja. He was a lecturer at Pan-African Institute of Paralegal Studies, Abuja. He is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Commercial Law, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State. He is a beneficiary of the 2018 Chief Olu Akinkugbe Fellowship Award on Business Law in Africa and a Fellow, Centre for Comparative Law in Africa (CCLA), University of Cape Town, South Africa. He is also a Fellow, Institute of Policy Management and Development (Nigeria). He is a member of some national, international and professional bodies. He is happily married and blessed with Children.
